DEBATING

On Thursday, March 6th our wonderful debating team and their supporters set off for the Council Chambers in Naas to compete in the Concern Debating Final! They were opposing the motion, “Cities are essential to tackling climate change.” They had worked hard and prepared well.  It all paid off as the motion was defeated and St. Patrick’s PS were crowned the winners! Well done to the team: Oskar Kubiak, Camille Pegat, Aidan Larkin, Faye Scanlan and our speakers on the day, Abbey Horan (Captain), Sarah Shanley and Clara Erin Merayo Brown and thanks to Ms Comer and Ms McCusker who supported them. They were awarded their certificates and plaques by Senator Fiona O’Loughlin. It was a fantastic experience.
